Sign the Petition 'Free Our People Now!'
On the occasion of 3 December, the European Day of People with Disabilities, the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) and ECCL are launching a petition calling on the relevant authorities, service providers, funding agencies and the public to support the transition from institutional care to community-based services for people with disabilities.
The same petition (commitment) has been open for signatures on ECCL's website for some time now. With the support of the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL), we aim to gather wider support for our demands. Signatures will be presented to the relevant officials at the European institutions during ENIL's Strasbourg Freedom Drive in 2011.
ECCL would like to thank those who already signed the petition and we invite those organisations that would like to support ENIL and ECCL in collecting the signatures to contact ENIL's Executive Director Jamie Bolling at j.bolling@enil.eu.
