Workshop on Reporting on Disabled Persons
The Mediacenter Sarajevo organizes the workshop “Reporting on Persons with Disabilities”, November 8-9, 2009.
The workshop is intended for students of journalism, social work, pedagogy and psychology, as well as young journalists with up to five years of experience, NGOs and state institutions’ representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Have you ever asked yourself what do you know about the life of disabled persons in BiH? Can they find a job?, Can they move freely around town? Is there legislation that protects their rights? How much are their problems present in the media?
The Mediacentre Sarajevo invites you to discuss those and other issues related to disabled persons with Željko Bajić, experienced journalist with Federal Radio; Željka Katanić, Director of NGO ‘Leptir’ and Andrea Mijatović, psychologist and activist of “Narko Ne” association for prevention of addictions.
The workshop will be held at the Mediacentre Sarajevo, Kolodvorska 3, November 8-9, starting at 9:00h. The deadline for applications expires on November 5, 2009.
